Springtime Hello

This is one of my most favourite stamp sets in the current Stampin Up! Spring/Summer Mini Catalogue. I just adore it and it suits my tendency towards the vintage feel of my paper crafting, As a bee keeper, I also love the teeny little honey bee stamp in the stamp set - it's as if this stamp set was made just for me!!

Anyway, here is is and hope you like it?

Card in A Box

Well, after forgetting to make my hubby a Christmas Card
(I know, how could I do such a thing!!!! tut tut huh?)
I thought I had better make him something special for Valentines Day.
So why is this blog a way down the road from Valentines Day? Well, I also forgot to photograph this creation prior to adding the ribbon tie, so I did the photo shoot after.

Rather than packaging this into a regular envelope, I decided to make a lid and keep it 3 dimensional for added impact. I am pleased Hubby was delighted with it.

I stamped the hearts and stars and attached them using florists wire rather than straight onto the little concertina's inside the box that the embellishments are usually attached to.

I am really pleased with it and will be making more for different occasions
(I have one of my sons weddings later this year so will do one for them (shhhh) lol)

And here are the products used

MDS: Getting Started with a Card

My Digital Studio Tutorial #8

If you would love to make your own cards and gift tags but don't fancy attending a class/workshop to do it in the cut and paste manner, then digital card making might be for you. If you love making handmade cards  but don't have time to make bulk batches (e.g. invitations. Christmas Cards, Thank you cards) then you can make one card, save it and print it off in bulk, letting your PC take the strain.

And here are some I made earlier. I would love you to share with me any of your digital card makes by emailing them to me and I will post them on here
