Tutorial

BASE - Trim a piece of Thicker Whisper White Cardstock to 21 x 21; score at 7 & 14 cms; rotate by 45 degrees and score at 7 & 14 cms; Fold & burnish all score lines; snip to the first score line , both sides of the cardstock; rotate by 180 degrees and repeat; use a little tombow to fold in the sides to create our box base
LID - Trim a piece of Thicker Whisper White Cardstock to 11.5 x 11.5 cms; score all sides at 2 cms; snup to the first score line as for the lid; rotate by 180 degrees and repeat; use a tiny amount of tombow to construct the lid.
Die cut a selection of flowers and leaves from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies using a combination of In Colour Cardstock.
Construct your flowers, and ink edges and centers (optional)
Stamp the Label using the Thankful Banners Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum Ink, and overstamp this with the sentiment of your choice, & punch out using the Classic Label Punch Add to the lid, using mini glue cdots
Die cut the butterfly, add to the lid
decorate the flowers using Basic Pearls
Finish by using Tear & Tape Adhesive to run some co-ordinating Ruched Ribbon around the rim of the lid

Baby Bear Multi Step Stamping Technique in Pink Pirouette & Lost Lagoon Sneak Peak Stampin Up! UK

Do I have a Treat for you today!

I won this delightful Baby Bear Stamp Set when I attended Stampin' Up!s On Stage Live Event in April. These Stampin Up! Events are super, and I get to meet up with some of my pals, that are also Demonstrators. There was nearly 400 of us at the event in April. Throughout the day, there are Prize Patrols, where you can win a product from the new annual catalogue. And I won this one!! To say I was over the moon, would be an understatement.

So here I am, sharing him with all of you! I know you have to wait until June 1st before you can order this stamp set, but today, I really wanted to share with you the Technique used for Multi-Step Stamp Sets as some people get in a bit of a pickle. The technique is actually very easy, because these stamp sets are now always in Protopolymer. This means you can line up the stamps according to landmarks on the stamps, since you can see through the acrylic block.

I have added the video here, as it is the easiest way for you to see the technique in action. And I have kept this card design very simple for that purpose. I have coupled the card with a stamp set that is still available in the Retiring Products section of my website.

TUTORIAL

Trim a piece of Thicker Whisper White Cardstock to 12.5 x 25 cms; Score at 12.5 cms; fold & Burnish
Trim a piece of Lobr Blossoms Designer Series Paper to 12.1 x 12.1 cms and mat onto the card base
Trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 10 x 10 cms
STEP ONE - Using the least defined stamp, ink up with the colour of your choice and stamp off some of the ink on the stamp onto a scrap of paper, and stamp onto the Whisper White Panel
STEP TWO -Using the Medium defined stamp & ink it up with the same colour , and stamp over the first image, lining up using the head and foot
STEP THREE - Ink up the most defined stamp with the same colour, and line up as before and stamp
Mat onto a piece of co-ordinating cardstock measuring 10.4 x 10.4 cms & mount onto the card front using Stampin Dimensionals
Stamp the Baby Boy or Baby Girl sentiment from the Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set onto a scrap of the Designer Series Paper using Archival Black ink pad (dries quickly)
Create shallow banner ends using paper snips and attach to the card front
Embellish to your hearts content

Kinda Eclectic in shades of Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush & Delightful Dijon

Today's card is one of the Make and Take's from yesterday's Open House Event

It was lovely to see my local customers

and new customers too!

I thoroughly enjoyed a day of crafting with like minded people

I have also been in contact with most of my online customers (friends) who live further afield and were unable to attend the event in person

Now I know that this stamp set is a roll over from the last Catalogue, but it is worthy of bringing it to your attention.

It is a great collection of background building stamps and awesome sentiments

Change the colour collection, and you get a different mood for the card

Stampin Up! Telford 2015 Make & Take Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set

Now then ladies .... I am sure many of you will be feeling Fifty Shades as you view this stamp set for the first time! Oh Yes!!

You should have heard the ooooh's and aaaahhhh's in the room as this card was Demonstrated At the Stampin Up! Demonstrator Event at the weekend.

I know that once you have the new Annual Catalogue in your hands, you are going to zoom in on this stamp set and need to sit down and take some deep breaths.

For me, this IS the stamp set of the catalogue as it is an amazing background builder set, and what is more, it is the perfect companion to the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set.

The Card Base was made using one of the new Incolours - Mint Macaroon.

Using Mint Macaroon ink pad and the flower from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set, ink up the stamp and stamp off onto some scrap paper, and use the second generation stamp on the cardstock

{STAMPING OFF & SECOND GENERATION STAMPING TECHNIQUE}

This technique is used when you want a lighter (less intense) tone of ink for your project

To do this, ink up your stamp, stamp off onto some scrap paper (this is the first generation stamping), this will leave a residue of ink on the stamp, so WITHOUT RE-INKING your stamp you then stamp onto your project cardstock, you will have a less intense colour than the first generation stamp, but the same tone (second generation stamping). Some colours are very intense in colour, and you can get up the fourth generation stamping and still have colour when stamped onto cardstock

The Dragonfly was stamped onto a separate piece of Whisper White Cardstock using the Delightful Dijon Classic ink Pad and cut out with paper snips., I used Tip Top Taupe to stamp the teeny dotty background stamp in a couple of places. Add a couple of Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of the dragonfly and attach to your cardstock.

Using Fast Fuse adhesive, attach a strip of Burlap Ribbon to the bottom of your Whisper White cardstock,

Finally, Select your Thank you stamp from the new sentiment stamp set (in the new catalogue) One Big Meaning and stamp onto whisper White cardstock using Mint Macaroon ink.

Apply a few stamping Dimensionals to the revers, and put a little Fast Fuse on the reverse too, and before adhering the sentiment to the card front, you need to roll up a little Linen Thread around you fingers to create some loops of the thread, attach these to the Fast Fuse on the back of the sentiment. Now you can stick down the sentiment (if you want, create some banner ends to the sentiment)

Attach the card front to your Mint Macaroon Card Base, add a few Basic Pearls, and there you have a stylish card that could be used for just about any occasion.

Trying making it in neutral /sepia tones, without the flower, and more of the background stamps in the set, and you could also have a masculine card, especially for the fisherman in your life!
