One Wild Ride Meets Guy Greetings Masculine Congratulations Card Stampin' Up! UK

You have probably guessed by now, that there are a LOT of men in my family
And so here is another Masculine card for you.
Yes it is a Grungy version of the One Wild Ride card I posted previously.

This one, is the celebrate my middle son getting a new job.
He is a mechanic and has been working with a tool hire company since he got his qualification 10 years ago. He was employed as a mechanic, but worked not only on the companies fleet vehicles, but also stood in with the domestic hire  & Repair work.
The company recently moved him into a more sales & accounts manager, taking him more and more away from what he loves
And that is being up to his armpits in grease
He is also a keen on and off road motorcyclist.
He finally decided to go for it, and specialise
And he was offered not just one, but two jobs, working 100% of the time maintaining and repairing Plant Machinery
And he went with the company that not only is more local, but also the one offering a more competitive salary. I am SO proud of him. He starts in a weeks time and is a bundle of nerves, as most of us are when to make a career change, as we question our ability to do the job.

So I decided a Card From Mum is what he needed. I hope you like it?

Garden in Bloom Friendship Card Stampin Up! UK

Well, I am rather late getting around to today's blog post, as I have been over the park getting some Dog Training in with my 10 month old Miniature Schnauzer, Bentley!!
He is now flaked out on his bed he he

Today's card has been made to send to a friend. It is 99% Garden in Bloom, but I wonder how many of you will notice the 1 % that is from another of Stampin'Up!'s Stamp Sets

Leave a comment below if you can find it.

With the exception of the Archival black Ink Pad that I used for the sentiment, I went with a monotone colour scheme of Sweet Sugarplum & White
The 5" (12.5 x 12.5 cm) square card base is using Thicker Whisper White Cardstock
The mainWhisper White Panel was was stamped once in the top right using Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad, with a stamping off the page technique (i,e - not all the image is stamped onto the cardstock), and the sentiment was stamped over this flower.
I added a strip of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon (Tear & Tape is a great adhesive for adding ribbon & trim).

The panel was then mat (layered) onto Sweet Sugarplum Cardstock and this was then mat onto the card base using Stampin Dimensionals for added depth.

I stamped 2 more flowers and fussy cut them out, again stamped in Sweet Sugarplum Ink. The smaller was added using a mini glue dot & the larger flower, I popped a couple of Stampin Dimensionals on the back, got some large loops of Gold Thread and attached the loops partially onto the Dimensionals, then added the flower to the card base.
The card was finished simply with a Gold Enamel Shape for a bit of bling

Today's card is another Vintage Inspired Card using a combination of the Touches of Texture Stamp Set, with the Layering Love Stamp Set.

The Touches of Texture Stamp setl is a super Collage set, with infinite possibilities of where you go with it.

Goodby to a Special Friend with Hopeful Thoughts Using Stampin' Up! Products UK

Saying goodbye when you lose a special friend or family member (they are the same to me as friends are my chosen family) is always difficult.
How do you find the right words to say, when you are feeling that loss too.

What do I do, I make a card that captures the essence of the person I am saying goodbye to.
Those of you that follow my blog, will also have seen the card I made for my friend who was losing his 'second mother', and He happens to be a gardener.
He spent many hours at my friends, and the garden was a passion they both enjoyed.
So I decided to use the HOPEFUL THOUGHTS STAMP SET
Since my fiend loved the colours that come with the changing seasons, I tried to embody that feeling in this card
I used second generation stamping technique (this is the amount of times you stamp the image before re-inking the stamp). I also inverted the stamp image for the bottom section of the card
The final touch, was some d Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Anne loved some subtle bling

Just start following the board, and so long as I can see you have an interest in papercraft, I will send you an invitation to start posting your own card & papercraft creations
