Confetti Celebration Kids Birthday Card In Colours Stampin Up UK

T today I am sharing another Sneak Peek from the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue (arrives 1st June) &And that would be this colourful fun Time To Party Birthday Card using the new In Colours (which I am totally in love with) It was a dream to photograph because the colours of the cardstock just radiate off the white background on my Photography studio ... So warm and rich in colour. The card also showcases the new Layering Squares Framelits Dies that contain nestable Squares and Scallop Squares.

This particular card is for my Granddaughters  5th Birthday this week, and I am hoping she will love it as the colours are reflected in her huge collection of Disney princess dresses he he

Tutorial

1. Trim an A4 sheet of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock to 10.5 x 30 cms; Score at 14.9 cms; fold & Burnish
2. Trim a piece of Dapper Denim Cardstock to 14.4 x 10.1 cms, Mat onto the card front
3. Trim a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to 9.7 x 14 cms
4. onto the Shimmery White Cardstock, randomly stamp the whole panel with Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad,  using the largest Happy Birthday Stamp from the Confetti Celebration Stamp Set
5. Randomly stamp the panel with a few teeny stars using Emerald Envy Ink Pad.
6. Over-stamp the panel with two strings of lights using Dapper Denim Ink Pad.
7. Wrap a piece of Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon across the lower third of the panel, using Tear & Tape Adhesive, wrap around to secure on the back of the panel.
8. Om a Scrap of Shimmery White Cardstock, using Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad, stamp the Time To Party and die dut using the best fitting square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits Die
9. Select the next sized up scallop square, and die cut from Flaming Flamingo Cardstock. Layer up the topper using Stamping Dimensionals.
10. Onto another scrap of Shimmery White Cardstock, stamp the YAY star using  Sweet Sugarplum ink pad, cut out with your paper snips and mount on the card front, and then add your topper.

Happy Happenings Bordering Blooms Petite Petals Bockeh Technique Card Stampin Up! UK

It is almost 2am as I type up this blog, so I am keeping it quick and simple today, as we are having major problems with our broadband and wireless services at the moment. Technician is back tomorrow  (umm ... make that later this-morning ha ha)to see what they can do.

Today is all about this super Bockeh Technique that is so on Trend right now.

I have used a combination of the Bordering Blooms Stamp Set with the Petite Petals Stamp set and co-ordinating Punch, along with the Happy Happenings Stamp Set for the sentiments.

The Bockeh (white dots) were created using a combination of the Circles Decorative Mask from Stampin Up!, a sponge dauber and a rubber (eraser) on the end of a pencil, with White Craft Ink. The Sponged background was created using the following ink pads:

Pink Pirouette

Blushing Bride

Rose Red

& the flowers were stamped and sponged using 

Rose Red ink Pad & Elegant Eggplant Ink Pad with a piece of Stampin Sponge.

The card was decorated simply with some Basic Rhinestones.

Part Three of my super sized Perfectly Artistic Explosion Box with a Curvy Keepsake Box in the centre

I am keeping todays blogpost short and sweet, but I wanted to share with you all the final installment in my Extra Large Keepsake Box.

I wanted something special in the centre of the box to place the gifts for my Mum in the centre of the box. So I used some Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper, sponged with delightful Dijon Ink to keep the project coordinated.

Tutorial

  1.  LID Trim a piece of cardstock to 15 x 15 cms; score on all sides at 2.5 cms; Fold & Burnish all score lines; Notch out 4 corners notch out the 4 corners & adhere kid corners using Tombow Liquid Glue; Trim Designer Series Paper to:

• Four pieces measuring 9.5 x 2 cms
• One piece measuring 9.5 x 9.5 cms; & adhere to lid.

1.  2. LARGE LAYER - Trim a piece of 12" cardstock to 30 x 30 cms (12" x 12"); score at 10 & 20 cms; rotate by 45 degrees and score again at 10 & 20 cms; using Kraft Scissors, remove the four outer corners, following the score lines, so you are left with a cross shaped piece of cardstock; fold & burnish all the score lines; 

3.  MIDDLE LAYER - Trim a piece of cardstock to 27 x 27 cms; score at 9 & 18 cms; Rotate by 45 degrees & score at 9 & 18 cms fold & Burnish; Cut out the 4 corners to create a cross shape; Trim the following pieces of Designer Series Paper:

• Four pieces measuring 8.5 x 8.5
• Four pieces measuring 8.5 x 8.5 (contrast) & adhere to the middle layer.

4.  SMALL LAYER - Trim a piece of Cardstock to 24 x 24 cms; score at 8 & 16 cms; Rotate by 45 degrees and score at 8 & 16 cms; cut out the 4 outside corners

Fold & Burnish & attach to the cardstock Trim the following pieces of Designer Series Paper to;

• Five pieces measuring  5.5 x 5.5 cms
• Four pieces measuring 5.5 x 5.5 cms (contrast)
