Badges & Banners Card

A Happy Saturday to you all! I hope you have a great weekend.

As for me? Well, of course, I have been crafting.
It has been challenging as we have had several thunderstorms that always result in power cuts, here in rural Essex. That in turn, causes frustrating disruptions to the uploading of my video tutorials
But fingers crossed, we should have a video for you tomorrow, introducing a water bleach technique (the upload is currently at 94%)

So, as has become the norm with my blog, in the absence of a video, I default back to a daily blog
post

And below you can see today's project.
This is a super quick card to make as it involves rubber stamping and punching

You're Sublime & Brushstrokes Watercolour Set of Cards Stampin' Up! UK

Whoop Whoop! Today is my 700th Blog Post
That is a LOT of Tutorials ..

Today I have a set of four cards made using the You're Sublime Stamp Set from Stampin Up!
And you get a double dose of  watercolour techniques.
The first comes from stamping the art piece onto Shimmer White Cardstock, and using an Aquapainter Watercolour Brush, with inks to colour in the art piece.
The second technique is by using the Brushstrokes Background Stamp (also from Stampin' Up! )and using the In Colour Stampin Write Markers, inking up the faux watercolour lines of the stamp with a different colour marker, spritzed with a little water and stamped onto a strip of Shimmery White Cardstock.
I used a selection of co-ordinating In Colour Cardstock to create the A6 Card Bases, by trimming an A4 sheet of cardstock to 30 x 10.5 cms, scoring the long side at 14.8 cms. This gives you two A6 Card Bases to each A4 sheet with no wastage.
I love this particular Card Fold and is really shows off the cards in either orientation.

Guy Greetings Masculine Vintage Style Worlds Greatest Husband Card Stampin Up! UK

Today I have another masculine card for you. It is another card made using the Guy Greetings stamp set. I have left the sentiment simple, so you can decide which of the sentiments in this Stamp Set, is appropriate for your card or scrapbook page.

If you are wondering if the background is a single stamp? The answer is no. The background is stamped using a random pattern created with a mixture of all the sentiments in the stamp set.
I started by stamping the p outside edge and then randomly using stamps the work from that outside border, and working in towards the centre .
I used Sahara Sand Ink Pad onto Very Vanilla cardstock for a subtle tone on tone background.
I then stamped the main stamps onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using Night of Navy Ink Pad & fussy cut them out with my paper snips. The anchor was stamped directly into one corner of the panel., and then mat onto a Night of Navy Card Base
The Boxer was stamped using Archival Basic Black Ink Pad and coloured using my Aquapainter for a watercolour effect. This element was fussy cut out and mounted onto the card base .
