Gift Bag Punch Board Home for Christmas .... perfect for those stocking fillers for the Children

I have a superfast project to share with you today as I got absolutely BO sleep last night, I finally got a 1 & 1/2 hour nap in at 8am
so I have a truly fuzzy head today, and that is not good for inspiration and the flow of creativity.
I have been working on a secret project, and spent all morning and half the afternoon trying to make an idea work, and failing!
In the end I took a complete change of direction and have ended up with something I really like

To add to today's frustrations, my Broadband is running super slow (school holidays) and I have 3 video's backed up, waiting for the edits to be completed before I can publish them
So no video today, but I should be good to go tomorrow
I usually have to upload overnight anyway because we have no fibre optics living in a rural patch of Essex!! So our overhead telephone lines cause the broadband to collapse every time there is a heavy wind or rainfall, or snow, ... or peak usage times of day

BUT I would not move back to a housing estate for all the money and fibre optics in the world.
he he

Rant over & his is the Large' gift bag I made using the Gift Bag Punch Board
This sheet of Home for Christmas Designer series Paper was trimmed to 12" x 10" and then scored and punched using the Punch Board, following the instructions that come with the board.
I found it really easy to follow ... and I have a bit of a Punch Board Phobia
I get on OK with the regular sized boxes, envelopes and bags
But the reality is, I just don't give myself he time to experiment
If you have the time, you could make sider bags by joiuning 2 pieces of cardstock or Designer Series Papaer together

But this one, is reserved for one of my grandchildren, and it will contain some lovely homemade sweet treats come Christmas :)

Stampin Up! Catalogue CASE Card Hopeful Thoughts Marker to Stamp Technique

Sadly, we all need a card we can fall back on, when we need to let out friends and family know that we are thinking of them, when life throws us worry, sadness and uncertainty
This is my card
I simply change the choice of tree in the stamp set, when I am making the card for a gentleman, and remove the pink tones.

Today's card is made using Stampin Write Markers
I find this technique really relaxing, as my life is usually running at one pace ... super fast!
so to sit with my makers and make up a batch of cards, helps me to regain my equilibrium

Below you will find the items I have used to create today's card
Click on the Product Icons to view them, or order them via my online store (UK)

Below is today's Supporting Video Tutorial

TUTORIAL

  1. Begin by making your A6 card base by trimming a piece of Thicker A4 Whisper White Cardstock to 21 cms x 14.8 cms; Score the long side at 10.5 cms; fold and burnish with a bone folder
  2. Trim a piece of regular Whisper White Cardstock to 10.1 cms x 14.5 cms; Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the panel and mount onto the front of your card base (landscape)
  3. Trim another piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 9.7 cms x 14 cms
  4. Ink up the branches of the tree using the Sift Suede Stampin Write Marker
  5. Ink up the flowers on the tree using the Blushing Bride Stampin Write Marker
  6. Ink up the leaves using the Pear Pizzazz Stampin Write Marker
  7. Before stamping, you need to re-hydrate the ink on the stamp by giving a really good 'Huff' of breath over the stamps surface.
  8. Select your choice of sentiment from the Hopeful Thoughts Stamp Set and stamp onto the panel using the Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad.
  9. Now for the scoring
  10. Using either the Simply Scored Tool, with the Metric Plate in situ, and score 2 or 3 horizontal lines, taking care to skip the sections where the score line meets any f the stamped images.
  11. Apply stampin Dimensionals to the back of the panel and mount onto your card base.
Happy Stamping
