Bohemian Borders Meets Friendly Wishes & Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Sets

Today I have something old, something new, and something Blue just for you!

And who knew I a secret poet too ha ha

For those of you with left over 2013 - 2015 In Colour Cardstock, this is the perfect way to use it up whilst making up a batch of cards that are ready to rick and roll when you need them.

Here are (most) of the products used on today's Card
Click the icons of the products below to view /  order the items

The 2013-15 In Colour Cardstock is now sold out, but the new 2015-17 In Colours will fill the gap nicely, and you will get a peak of them in this post.

I have used the Bohemian Stamp Set to create a mosaic background, using the new In Colour Classic Ink Pads.
And I have also used up my retiring Brights Collection and Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stacks ... since there are updated DSP Stacks coming with the new catalogue, and I have seen them ... they are FAB!!!

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Anyway, this is a really super fast card to make.

Trim a piece of cardstock to size (14.3 cms x 10 cms (I used Baked Brown Sugar, but Tip Top Taupe would work really well too)
Randomly stamp the cardstock using Watermelon Wonder Classic Ink Pad.

Next, die cut the largest Banner Framelit from a sheet of Brights DSP Stack.
Next, die cut the next size down Banner Framelit from Whisper White Cardstock.

Take the smaller Banner, and stamp your sentiment of choice from the Friendly Wishes Stamp Set using Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink Pad
Once dry, overstamp this banner using the larger splodge stamp from Gorgeous Stamp Set using Mint Macaroon, Watermelon Wonder & Delightful Dijon Classic Ink Pads.

Layer up your banners onto your card front, using a little Tombow
and finish by mounting the card onto a Whisper White Card Blank (Base)

And that is it ... all done

I told you it is super fast didn't I?

Faux Mock Flock & Apothecary Acents Dies

Welcome to Fun Friday

Why is it Fun Friday? I hear you all ask....
well the reason is because you are going to have SO much FUN using this Mock Flock Technique
It is really simple to do, and gives a fab effect.

Pattern you can see on the flowers was created by stamping the HANDCARVED Background Stamp over your trimmed Whisper White Cardstock using White Craft Ink.
(and yes, it is on the retiring list!)
You then need to be really patient and wait for the craft ink to dry (it takes time) I did try using a heat tool to speed up the process but the cardstock warped.
Once dry, you then need a solid stamp - such as the one in the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set
(Petal Potpourri also comes as a bundle with the co-ordinating punch at a 15% cost saving)

I went with the dramatic colour scheme, using Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon from the 2014 - 2016 In Colour Collection.

You won't see the pattination until the ink dries, but I really love it, and I really did have fun making it. I have a few more using the same technique to show you over the next couple of days,

You will probably notice the sentiment has been stamped onto that divine label from Apothecary Accents Dies. I feel sooo sad that this Die pack is retiring as it is my most favourite Stampin Up! Die, but I am sure there will be something amazing taking it's place.

To View or Order items from the Retiring List, simply click on the RETIRING banner below

Trim your Whisper White Cardstock to size allowing for matting (layering) it into a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and then onto a White Card Blank

Stamp your patterned background stamp all over the smallest layer of Whisper White cardstock using White Craft Ink.
Put it to one side whilst you wait for the ink to dry (craft ink does take longer than normal ink)

Once dry, stamp a solid stamp using no more than 3 colours over the cardstock and wait for the transformation. You will need to clean your stamp between re-inking with your coloured inks as a little White Ink is transferred to the stamp.

Next, stamp your sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Black Stazon Ink
Die cut a the sentiment label using this beautiful Apothecary Accents Die,
Attach a small piece of a Tea Lace Doily to the back of the Label. and apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse and mount onto your card front.
Finish with a bow using White Jute Ribbon

By the time I had finished this posting the Handcarved Stamp Set has already SOLD OUT! So on the products images below, I have substituted the background stamp with POSITIVELY CHEVRON

2015 Catalogue Countdown Walk in the Wildmeets Gorgeous Grunge

Good Afternoon to you all

As you will no doubt know by now, Stampin Up! has published the 2015 Retiring List of Rubber Stamps, Dies, Ink Pads, Cardstock, Stampin Write Markers, Bakers Twine, Dies, Embossing Folders,  .... and so the list goes on

So from today until 1 June 2015 I will be posting daily with products that are available for up to 50% savings on the retail price. So now is the time to stock up on supplies and favourites from the current Annual Catalogue.

My daily posts will consist of a combination of Stampin Up! Technique Videos (I intend this to be weekly) , cards, and 3D projects
To browse or order any of the items on the retiring list, simply visit my online store by clicking on the retiring banner below

Before we start, just have a peek at this really quick video from Stampin Up! See if you can spy a project using today's Stamp Set ... Walk in the Wild

Now, I had made this card prior to the retiring list being published, and for some bizarre reason, I felt like I already knew which items would be leaving us this year ... weird!

I will be very sad to see Walk in the Wild stamp set leave the catalogue this year as it is one of my favourites and perfect for men and women when making cards or scrapbook pages

Many of the Classic Ink Pads I have used today are also in the Retiring List promotion. as is the
Four You sentiment Stamp Set

I stamped my trimmed to size Whisper White Cardstock first with the fine splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set using Coastal Cabana  Classic Ink Pad, this was over-stamped with the leaf stamp from Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set, using Pistachio Pudding Classic Ink Pad. and once with Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad.

Next I stamped the Stag using Baked Brown Sugar Classic Ink Pad, and finally, I over-stamped the sentiment using Chocolate Chip Classic Ink Pad.
Lastly, I used the Old Olive Stampin Write Marker to add some green around the stags hooves using the Brush tip ... make sure you use a very gentle touch ... I worked with dots of colour so I had more control.

With today's card, I simply mat (layered) it onto a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Cardstock using Stampin Dimensionals, and then mounted the card front onto a White A6 Card Blank.

And there you have it, a masculine card in a flash!
