This card was made for one of my sister-in-laws Birthday, and I have to say that ANOTHER GREAT YEAR isn't the kind of stamp set I would normally buy, and initially wondered why I had. I rarely use Designer Series Papers, as I prefer to stamp my own background. It took me several attempts to achieve a background for this stamp set that I was happy with.
So I spent some time trying out colour schemes, and stamp sets for the background. The answer was in my freebies from this years Sale A Bration promotion. And so I used one of the stamps from PETAL PARADE for the background. I used Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and ink to create the co-ordinated look. Co-ordination is one of Stampin Up!'s strengths. Cherry Cobbler comes from the Regals collection of intense and rich colours ... and I love them!
The main stamp was stamped using white stazon ink. I added PETAL PARADE stamp set and punch, along with a couple of FLOWER SHOP stamps with their co-ordinating punch. A few Basic Pearls too.
