Stamp Set Showcase Week one (3)

Day Four of BY THE TIDE stamp set Showcase

And today is the first of three cards in this weeks stamp set showcase. This one let me have fun with Crystal effects, which is just fab at creating a watery look to sea themed goodies ...

I have stuck with the same colour themes throughout this week, but you could change the colours for any that take your fancy. This card features Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede, and Early Espresso

Start by trimming a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 15cms x 30cms. Using your Trimmer or Metric Scoring Board, with the long side at the top of the scoring board, score at 15cms to make your card blank.

Next trim a piece of Soft Sky cardstock to  14cms x 14cms.  Next trim a piece of Island Indigo cardstock to 13.5cms x 13.5cms. Layer the cardstock onto your card blank.

Finally trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstockto 13cms x 13cms. Start by using Pool Party & Island Indigo ink to stamp the wavy stamp in the Chalk Lines photo-polymer stamp set to create 'waves'. Over stamp this using Soft Suede ink to stamp the coral, and also 2 of three fish images, having one centrally on the card.

Embellish with Linen thread. Pierce a hole  and insert/secure a Vintage Brad in place.

 Stamp the sentiment (I used the Happy Birthday stamp in the Teeny Tiny Sentiments stamp set) and punch out using the Word Window punch,  Finally, use the Modern Label punch to stamp out a frame for the sentiment (I used a scrap of Night of Navy cardstock).   Layer the stamped cardstock onto the card blank, and attach the sentiment to the card. Your last job is to apply a light coating of crystal Effects to the centre fish on the card, and attach the sentiment and label to the card blank. Leave the Crystal Effects to dry thoroughly before

 And the job is done!
