Birthday Blooms Watercolour Vs Blender Pen Techniques Handmade Card Using Stampin' Up! Products UK

I hope you are all having a lovely Sunday, and perhaps having a little time to spend crafting too?

Today I have two, almost identical Cards, using two different Watercolour Techniques.

The card on the left uses an Aquapainter & The Card on the right is coloured using a Blender Pen

Handmade Card Kinda Eclectic Ombre Technique using Stampin' Up! Products UK

I am off dog walking shortly, so I will keep today fairly brief ...If I can,, as I do like to yak on lol

Today's card is one of three that I made as a class project this week. The techniques for this week, were Ombre and Making your own Designer Series Paper

There was just one stamp set used

KINDA ECLECTIC

The great thing about these techniques, as each and every background will be different ... and that is why you will rarely see me using Designer Series Papers. I do, just not often ... I am a rubber stamper at heart he he

I used the Rich Razzelberry Ombre Ink Pad for the sentiment.

The key to these ink pads, is using little circles rather than stamping using the entire ink pad, since that results in lines. I have included a Video Below showing your how best to use these fab new kind of Ink Pad. & the Tutorial is beneath the Video

Tutorial

CARD BASE - Trim a piece of Island Indigo cardstock to 30 x 10.5 cms; score long side at 14.9 cms; fold & burnish
Trim two pieces of Whisper White Cardstock to 14.4 x 10.1 cms; stick one of these panels to the inside of the card for you to write/stamp your greeting
With the other Whisper White Panel, Randomly Stamp the Leaf using Always Artichoke Ink and. Randomly Over Stamp this with the leaf stamp again, this time using Old Olive Ink Pad; Mat onto the card base using Tomnbow
Onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the ombre ink pad, and cut round using paper spis to give an ombre striped panel. Add Stampin Dimensionals to the back and mount onto the centre of the card front so the lines are vertical
Stamp your sentiment onto a scrap of whisper white cardstock and die cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies, and run through your Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. Slot the sentiment behind the vertical panel using Stampin Dimensionals
Stamp 3 butterflies using the Ombre Ink Pad. Select a different section of the ink pad for each butterfly; Punch our the butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly Punch; mount onto card front using Mini Glue Dots
Finish with a flourish of Basic Rhinestones.

Bella & Friends in Black, Melon Mambo & White Handmade Card Using Stampin' Up! Products UK

Yesterday, I gave you a very quick Note Card Solution for those last minute cards that you need for just about any occasion or event in life, using the Bella & Friends Stamp Set from

Stampin' Up!

Well today, I have stepped it up a bit for you, with some Random Stamping & Die Cutting

Tutorial

CARD BASE - Trim a piece of Melon Mambo Cardstock to 3. x 10.5 cms; score long side at 14.9 cms; fold & burnish
Using the Melon Mambo Ink Pad, randomly stamp the front of the card base with the parrot stamp.
Using Basic Black Ink Pad, Stamp twoDog images onto Whisper White Cardstock, leaving space for the die cutting; Die Cut using the best fitting scallop square die from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies
stamp the Bella & tortoise stamp at the bottom of the card base using Black Ink.
Stamp a Black Parot to the top right of the cardbase; and stamp your sentiment beneath this .
Trim a piece of Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper (scraps if you have them) to 3 cms x 10.1 cms & attach to the card base using Tombow Liquid Glue
Add Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the die cut squares, and mount at an angle onto the card base
Tie a bow from Melon Mambo Thicker Bakers Twine and attach to card front using Mini Glue Dot
Add a touch of colour to the collar & tag on the Bella images using a Melon Mambo Stampin Write Marker (I used the brush tip with a light hand)
Finish by trimming a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 14 .4 x 10.1 and attach inside the card so you can type your greeting. I also added another bella with tortoise onto this panel

Marker to Stamp Technique Butterfly Basics Friendship Card using Stampin' Up Products! UK

Butterfly Basics is a Super Stamp Set, whose popularity was such, that this wonderful stamp has rolled over from last years Stampin' Up! Catalogue. But I am on a mission to ensure people do not forget about the versatility of this Collage Stamp Set. So

I have used a few techniques here.

First is Random Stamping

This is simply what it says on the box ... it creates a randomness. Many card makers struggle with the need to create randomness. But

Why is this necessary? Well, nature is random. We live in a world where people are obsessed by summitry, but in fact, our eye is attracted to the random. Begin with the Power of Three .... Virtually, split your card into thirds, and build your design around that.

Secondly, I have used Generation Stamping

This just means that you ink up your stamp and stamp onto the project four times, before re-inking your stamp .. The more intense the colour is, the more times you can stamp the cardstock before you need to re-ink.

This allows you to create gradients of the same colour using just one ink pad.

Thirdly, I have used a Marker to Stamp Technique.

Traditionally, you would use a Marking Technique to stamp two or more colours in the same stamping.

By using Markers, you can ink up just the portions of the stamp you want to use.

It is fun and quick, but you do need to remember to clean your stamp after each stamping to avoid contaminating the markers.

Finally, I used a Stamping Off The Page Technique

This means you do not stamp the whole image onto the cardstock. and it works alongside Random Stamping and Generation Stamping

Tutorial

CARD BASE - Trim a Piece of Thicker White Cardstock to 12.5 x 25 cms; score the ;ong side at 12.5 cms; fold & Burnish
Trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 11.5 x 11.5 cms; stamp two diagonal stripes (one from Delightful Dijon & the other using Dapper Denim Ink Pads; next, stamp the honeycomb stamp to create the background, using Mint Macaron Ink Pad, and fourth Generation Stamping (the amount of times you stamp the cardstock before re-inking the stamp)
Now for the Marker to Stamp Technique. You will need the following Stampin Write Markers - Watermelon Wonder & Cucumber Crush. Use the green maker to ink up the leaf sections of the large flower, and the Watermelon Wonder to ink up the flower; Give a big 'huff' over the stamp, and then stamp onto the cardstock.; Randomly stamp some of the small flowers using second generation stamping.
Onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock,, Stamp a couple of small butterflies using Sweet Sugarplum Ink Pad, using Second Generation Stamping
Stamp the Caterpillar Greeting using Early Espresso Ink Pad.
Mat the panel onto a piece of Watermelon Wonder Cardstock measuring 12 x 12 cms
Stamp your Greeting from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set using Early Espresso Ink Pad onto the bottom right of the Card Base
Apply Stampin Dimensionals onto the back of the Layered Panel and mount onto the card base
Punch out the two small butterflies using the Bitty Butterfly Punch & mount onto the card front using Mini Glue Dots, then add a few basic rhinestones
