Trust in God Stamp Set meets Hardwood

Today is just another day
EXCEPT
It is my Birthday
Yes, I am 52 years Young
Life is in disarray around me
But life goes on as normal

The highlight of my day so far has been my Birthday Cake
my husband put a lit candle into a Mr Kiplings Cherry Bakewell Tart!!

Oh yes he did he he
So I made my wish and blew the candle out.

And so the card I am sharing today, features a beautiful sentiment from the

TRUST IN GOD

Stamp Set, just sums up how me and my husband try to live our lives
I think we all have times when we need faith in 'whatever' we believe in, that all will work out OK in the end if we remain true to ourselves

I have coupled the the Trust in God Stamp Set with the Hardwood Background Stamp
I have kept this card clean and simple so that the Sentiment is the focal point of the card

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Here are the instructions so you can CASE this card

Begin by making your card base by trimming a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock to 29.6 cms x 10.5 cms
Score the long side at 14.8 cms, fold and use your bone folder to make a nice crisp fold.
Mount your Hardwood Rubber Stamp onto a large Acrylic Block (unless your stamp is wood mounted already), and ink it up all over with Tip Top Taupe Classic Ink Pad.
Stamp directly onto the card front (I held my card closed with my little finger whilst lining up the stamp)

Next, Stamp your sentiment of choice from the TRUST IN GOD stamp set using the Early Espresso Classic Ink Pad, onto Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Die cut this using the best sized Lots of Labels Framelits, running it through your Big Shot
Now die cut the next size up Lots of Labels Framelit, from Soft Sky Cardstock.
Now Trim Die Cut A large Label (same Framelits Set) using Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Ink up the hardwood stamp with Tip Top Taupe Ink again, and stamp the Crumb Cake Label.

Once dry, adhere this label to the card front having laid a length of the Mint Macaron Dotty Ribbon LAce Trim between the card base and the label. Fast Fuse is perfect for permanently adhering that label to the card front.
Use Stampin Dimensionals to pop up the other two labels and mount these centrally on top of the largest label.

Thread one end of the lace behind the popped up labels so you can tie a bow or knot on the side
Finally embellish your card with a few of the new Metal Rimmed Pearls
(they are SO vintage & SO me)

And there you have it! .... I hope you like it, and feel inspired to make your own version of this card.
