Build A Birthday with Candles on Top

Today I have a super little card, that could also be used as a gift tag, using the Brights Colour Collection of classic ink pads to create a unisex card suitable for a child or teenager
The Stamp set is a newcomer to the Stampin Up! Catalogue

BUILD A BIRTHDAY

This card really highlights where Stampin Up! comes into it's own, and that is with their co-ordinated colour collections
This takes all the worries out of what colour to put with what, as all the colours in a collection mix and match with one another.

Perfect for the novice, or for those moments when time to plan projects is limited and you just want something quick and easy.

And here are the products used today
Click on the product icons  below to view them in the catalogue or purchase them
I have included the recommended Acrylic Blocks on the list too

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

The rectangular patterned stamps in the set, can be used to make a cake on a stand, (as in tomorrows card), or like today, to make birthday candles as well as creating a background fir the card.

I used 2nd & third generation stamping (this just means how many times I stamp onto the Whisper White cardstock before re-inking my stamp), to create a more subtle conal effect for the background. I then mat (layered) this onto a piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock, and them onto a panel of Pacific Point cardstock

The same inks were used to stamp the candles, but this time I used just first generation stamping.

I then used the tag topper punch to make a decorative tag and threaded through some Jute Ribbon, tied off with some Melon Mambo Ribbon.
Next I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock approximately 2cm wide, and used the Triple Banner Punch to create banner ends to the label,
This was then attached to the tag using Stampin Dimensionals
I then mounted the tag onto the card front  using Stampin Dimensionals for that 3D effect.

Everything Eleanor In Colours 2014-16

This is another of my returning favourite stamp sets to this years Stampin Up! Annual Catalogue
Everything Eleanor
You will no doubt see me using this stamp set a lot this year as it was rather neglected by me last year! I had accidently hidden the stamp set away with my retired stamps!!

Today I am using the beautiful colours from the 1014 - 2016 In Colours of:

Blackberry Bliss
Lost Lagoon &
Hello Honey

The Shimmery White Card front was mat (layered) onto

Lost Lagoon & Blackberry Bliss Cardstock respectively

I used 1st to 5th generation stamping Technique
(this just means how many times I could stamp the image before re-inking the stamp)

The Petite Pairs sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla (because the shimmery white cardstock is subtly off white)
I used the Blackberry Bliss Stampin Marker to ink up the outside decorative edge, but didn't ink up the dotted lines inside the frame.
Ponge the centre of the frame with a marble effect using a Sponge Dauber and Blackberry Bliss classic ink pad.
The sentiment was attached to the centre of the frame using Stampin Dimensionals to give a 3d element to the card.
I finished the card simply using a few Basic Pearls

And as for today, I have another Butterfly Basics Card for you, this time using the 2014-16 In Colours. There is something about Blackberry Bliss that is just scrummy.
And I have coupled this with the Flower Shop Stamp Set, and the Confetti Hearts Border Punch

I have again used the Note Cards & Envelopes as I will be using these cards as thank you's for my customers, wherever and whomever they may be.

And here are the products used in todays card

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Use the Confetti Hearts Border Punch and punch one long edge of the Whisper White Cardstock .
Trim a length of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock to 1 cm and place this behind the punched out hearts.
Stamp the elements of the card using the Butterfly Basics Cardstock.

I used Blackberry Bliss for the flower, Mossy Meadow for the Fern (using 1st, 2nd, & 3rd generation stamping technique); the honeycomb was stamped using Lost Lagoon classic ink pads.

On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, and using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink Pad, stamp a Flower Shop stamp of your choice and cut out using the Pansy Punch.
