Stamp Set Showcase Week 3 (3)

Welcome to Day three of this weeks Showcase Challenge
And today we have another card creation using the featured LABEL LOVE stamp set,
plus another stamp set suitable for using with Blendabilities Pens (are you getting this weeks sub-theme yet?)

the second stamp set is Forever Florals
A beautiful collection of floral stamps .... you may just see more this week .... but I haven't decided as yet, since of the four projects left for this week, I need one for a 3D project, and another for a tag/gift packaging
If you have any requests for styles or specific stamp sets or specific projects, then drop me a line and I will see what I can do ...

Todays card is using my favourite stamp from the Label Love stamp set ... and that is the ornate Mr & Mrs stamp ... LOVE IT!!

I have gone with a Rich Razzelberry monochrome theme today.
I normally go with softer cleaner looks for wedding cards, but when I was playing with this new stamp wet when it arrived with my Stampin Up order earlier this week, I thought It might just suit a wedding theme ... and I think it works, I also added in a touch of Everything Eleanor stamp set with the flourish stamp, but you could substitute any flourish stamp and it would work.

To start todays project, make your card blank by trimming a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 30cms x 15cms, score the long side at 15cms, fold and burnish,
Trim another piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14cms x 14cms.
Stamp the Forever Florals stamp with Black Memento Ink, repeatedly, stamping some off the edge of the cardstock to give a more natural look. Then stamp the flourish in the top right if the stamped cardstock.
Next you need to get out your Rich Razzelberry Blendabilities pen set. Begin with the light shade and colour in the chrysanthemum stamp using the brush tip. Then add highlights with the medium shade of pen, and finally add some shadow.contrast by using the dark pen in the set. Then go over the all the images again with the light pen to blend the colours together.

Stamp a few of the small flowers using rich Razzelberry ink onto scraps of whisper white cardstock. Colour these with the light blendability pen for the petals, and the mediym shade for the centre of the flower. Pop them onto Stampin Dimensionals and adhere to 3 of the flourishes,

Tie a co-ordinating ribbon in a bow. Mount onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock to trimmed to  14.5cms x 14.5cms. Add plenty of Basic Rhinestones for sparkle.

Stamp the Mr & Mrs stamp in Blackberry Bliss ink. Punch out with the Artisan punch. Punch an additional 2 labels using Blackberry Bliss cardstock, To make these into a frame for the stamped label, you need to cut the first Blackberry Bliss Artisan label down the middle on the vertical, repeat with the second piece of cardstock but cut it on the horizontal this time. Adhere the matching pieces to the back of the stamped label using  Tombow Multi pPurpose Glue, pop up on Stampin Dimensionals and stick to the top left of the topper. Adhere the topper to the card blank.
And you are finished ... Well Done!
Happy Stamping

Stamp Set Showcase Week 3 (2)

Day two of this weeks Stamp Set Showcase

LABEL LOVE

And today I have coupled the stamp set with two one other

I Like You

So why did I combine another stamp set? ... well it is made to use with Blendabilities.

And what are blendabilities? Well they are Stampin Up's version of Alcohol pens/Copic Markers. They come in packs of three pens,  that are three shades of a stampin up colour, allowing for perfect colour blending.

Today I am using the Old Olivefor the leaves  plus Calypso Coral for the flowers

Begin by making your card blank. To do this, trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14.8cm x 21cms. Score the long side at 10.5cms, fold and burnish.
Trim another piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14.3cms x 10cms.
Stamp this piece with the I like You stamps using black Memento ink pad (if you use Stazon it will cause bleeding of the colour outside of the stamped image).
On a separate scrap of Whisper White cardstock, stamp a couple of the smaller I like You stamps, again using Memento ink pad.

Now comes the fun bit. There is no real right or wrong was to use the pens, but this is how I do it,
Begin by using the lightest shade of green in the Old Olive pack and using the brush tip, colour in the leaves. Then use a little of the medioum shade to highlight areas of shading on the leaves, and finally, small areas of the Dark shade to give the final detaailing. I then get the lightest shade of pen again, and colour over the leaf images. This will help blend the colour. Now use this same process with the flowers. Gave fun with it!
Don't freak out when you see the colour bleeding through to the back of the cardstock, this is normal. IF the colours get too saturated, just leave the cardstock for a few minutes to let it dry.

Once you have finished colouring, shading and blending, Tie a piece of ribbon in the colour of your choice (I have used Pear Pizzaz here) around the painted cardstock, tie a bow. Embellish with some basic Rhinestones. Cut out the flowers you coloured onto scraps of cardstock, apply stampin dimensionals on the back. Next stamp your sentiment stamp. I used Mossy Meadow ink here for  added contrast. Punch out the sentiment using the Artisan Label Punch. Punch two more Labels from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Cut one in half on the vertical and the other on the horizontal. Glue the matching pieces to the reverse of the stamped label to create a narrow frame for the sentiment. Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse side of the label. Mount the painted cardstock onto the card blank using Stampin Dimensionals for added depth.
Finally, adhere your sentiment label to the card.

To help you on your way I have included here a Stampin up YOUTube Tutorial on Blendabilities  (see below) ... so no excuse for not sharing your card makes with us!! We look forward to seeing them.
Happy Stamping

Stamp Set Showcase Week 3 (1)

Stamp Set Showcase Week 3 Day 1

This weeks stamp set is

Label Love

This is a fab essential for all Stampin Up lovers, Teamed with the Artisan Punch you can produce cards and tags for most accessions.

Todays card has combined the Blended Bloom stamp with the Label Love stamp set
With the exception of Pool Party, I have used the In Colour cardstock and co-ordinated ink pads for todays cards (yes, Cards).

I love making the same card in different colours, especially when using a monochrome colour scheme.
That way the cards can be tailored to just about everyone's taste and all events.
I used off scraps of the cardstock to make the lower band and the labels, so a very resourceful card to make. These are all A6 (10.5 x 14.8 cms)

Begin but triming a piece of cardstock to 21cms x 14.8cms. Score the long side at10.5cms, fold and burnish.
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 14.5cms x 10cms,
Randomly stamp the blended bloom image on the whisper white cardstock using first and second generation stamping technique. You need to use the same colour ink as the cardstock for best results.
You will have a long thin piece of coloured cardstock left over, trim this to 14.5 cms. Now stamp the Just For You stamp in the Label Love stamp set in the same colour ink onto a scrap of whisper white cardstock. Punch using the Artisan punch. Then punch 2 labels in coloured cardstock using the Artisan Punch, and one label using the Modern Label punch.

The two coloured cardstock Artisan Labels will make a frame for your sentiment. so one needs to be cut in half on the horizontal and the other on the vertical. Adhere these to the back of the sentiment label to create a frame, using Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue. Apply Stampin Dimensionals (foam pads) to the reverse and layer onto the Modern Label punch.

Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of the Modern label punch. Stick the think strip to the lower third of the card, and adhere the layered label.

Embellish to you r hearts desire, but I rather like it clean and simple.

Happy Stamping
