Oh this Background Stamp is every vintage gals delight! 

Hello Doily gets SO much use in my workshop and it's versatility is amazing.

Hello Doily's large size works well on cards, tags, scrapbook pages and packaging & Gift Wrapping.

Here Hello Doily has had the simple treatment. The stamp was inked with Versamark and heat embossed with White embossing powder. I then started in the middle, radiating outwards in a circular motion, using a sponging technique and Coastal Cabana ink. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that the embossed card has been mounted on, was some left over papers from the Christmas mini catalogue.

If you are wondering why I would mat cardstock straight onto DSP, well, the answer is simple. Stampin Up's DSP is in the main, double sided and is thick enough to use as a mat, without layering onto cardstock.

The card was finished with some Coastal Cabana Ruffle Trim, and the sentiment was stamped in Tempting Turquoise and the LABEL LOVE stamp set, then die cut using the co-ordinating Artisan punch.
