Sale A Bration Week 3 Day 2

So many people ask me where I get my inspiration from
I always give the same answer ... and that is, from the same place you all do.
Even those of you who convince yourselves that you are not creative
make creative decisions on a daily basis, such as choosing a new outfit, and the accessories that go with it, maybe the colour combinations you see in ducks swimming on a lake, a stormy sky, the autumn leaves etc etc
So in answer, my inspiration comes from everywhere and in everything I see, hear, feels etc
But what brings my creative thoughts to life, are the tools I use, be it in my dressmaking, patchwork quilting, card craft or home decore
Ideas pop into my head all day, and in my dreams, and yet still I forget to take my note pad and pen to be with me, so I can write down ideas in the evenings, will not be forgotten by the morning.

But todays card was an easy one, because the Stamp Set (Moon Lake) sets the scene nicely, all I had to do was to chose the colour scheme, so I went with my memories of fishing at a local lake as a teenager, as I watched the ducks waddle about or swim gracefully in the water.

So I sent with Soft Suede (for the old tree stumps we would sit on) stamped vertically with the straight lines stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.
Lost lagoon for the colour of the water as the sun shone down on the lake, and Whisper White, that has been stamped with the fine splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge for the splashes as fish would jump in the warm lake.

The Lost Lagoon layer was stamped with the larger splodge stamp from Gorgeous Grunge with a tone on tone look to reflect the the differences in colour on the lake depending on whether there was shade or not.

The card was embellished simply with some Linen Thread and an Antique Brad

And here the sentiment stamp says is all

"nature evokes the Imagination"

PRODUCT OF THE WEEK

Lotus Blossom Stamp Set #139143:
This gorgeous stamp set makes anyone feel like an artist in three quick steps. It creates a beautiful flower that looks painted, but it is amazingly easy. The individual stamps have a tab at the top to help you align them, and the tabs are numbered so you will know which part of the flower to stamp first, second, and third. Try playing around using one ink pad with the stamping off technique, or multiple different ink pads to create many different looks.
