Sale A Bration Week 1 (2)

Today has given me an EEK moment!

My camera has broken after many years of good service! I had just taken a load of photo's ready for upcoming  blogs, came indoors to transfer the images onto my laptop and ..... nothing!

So hubby will have to go out and get me a replacement camera URGENTLY so it may be my chance to sneak in a dual purpose Camera / Video Camera so I can start doing some video tutorials!

But anyway, for todays card, comes in the form of this gorgeous Kingfisher, Case'd ,but changed up, from the SAB Catalogue.

Also comes with a lush Lemon on a tree stamp that I featured a couple of days ago, so do go check it out.

I stamped the image with Memento (Black) ink, which is a must if you are going to use Alcohol based pens, like the Blendabilities.

Blendabilities are best used on Whisper White cardstock rather than watercolour cardstock.

If you notice the colour bleeding through, this is normal, just allow the ink to dry for a few moments if it becomes too saturated.

To colour my bird, I used the following assortments:

Pumpkin Pie

Night of Navy

Coastal Cabana

Cherry Cobbler

Daffodil Delight

I trimmed a piece of Night of Navy cardstock to 12cms x 12 cms.

Use Window Framlits to Die Cut an aperture into the Navy cardstock

Stamp the cardstock with the Love Life stamp in Night of Navy ink, then stamp the from of the 6£ card blank in the same way.

attach the kingfisher panel to the reverse of the navy panel using Stampin Dimensionals.

Add a little Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine and a small metal button before attaching the topper to the card blank.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a Happy, Healthy & Crafty New Year!

I must apologise for being a couple of days late back from my fist week off in over a year ,,, lots have happened in the past few days to distract me. Firstly my Husband has injured the muscles between his ribs the day before yesterday, so he is out of action, and one of my Geriatric West Highland White Terriers, Megan, was rushed to the vets and is now being managed symptomatically, and rather intensively to alleviate her complex problems, but she is home with us and comfortable, as is our wish.

But I am BACK and ready for business!

And here is the first card is made using Butterfly Basics and coordinates with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I have also used the Apothecary Accents Framelits to make the sentiment label.

Here I have used some left over (now retired) Designer Series Paper, but Typeset DSP works just as well.

The card blank was made with Baked Brown Sugar cardstock, and

the ink pads used were:
