Traveler Steam Train

I know I have already raved on about how much I love the TRAVELER stamp set .... but I am going to be gushing again! Why? Well, at almost 51 years old, I am able to recall steam trains running on the main line stations, steam liners etc. I can even recall how little bits of gritty coal was released in the steam trains smoke, and if you decided to stick your head out of the window, you ended up with grit in your eyes. And then there was the smell ... nothing else like it! ... well, other than coal fires, of course. And yes, I have lived in homes with coal fires, coal shuttles, and coal bunkers.

Amazing how thoughts ping off all over the place isn't it? ... talking about the coal bunker, I recall living in rural Essex when I was 14 years old, and on one of our treks across the fields, we found an injured bird, so we brought it home and popped it in the coal bunker to recoup, and thankfully, it flew away a few days later.

Anyway, enough of my reminiscing ... back to today's card. This is the steam train, stamped onto Kraft Card (yes, now available from Stampin Up).

I stamped the train in black Stazon, and then used Mossy Meadow ink pad and a blender pen to colour in the  train, and then stamped a sentiment from  the Something To Say stamp set (the one I used also fits nicely into one of the Apothecary Accents Die). I finished the card with a piece of basic grey stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.
