Timeless Love Anniversary in Blackberry Bliss

It was my Mum and Dad's 53rd Wedding Anniversary this week, and this is the card I sent them.
Although they live just 20 minuted down the road, and I would normally pop over and see them, but instead, the Tummy bug I had, and thought I had gotten over, has now resurfaced, and since both Mum & Dad both have health problems, the last thing they need is me sharing my unpleasant germs on them.

And all my regular followers will know how I love creating my own stamped backgrounds, and especially enjoy sponging, I have combined both of these in this emboss resist monotone card
Only 2 colours have been used
Blackberry Resist and Whisper White
Although the Ribbon is Very Vanilla Satin rather than pure white, but the ribbon matches the pearls, so it works OK
The randomly stamped background gives a faux lace effect, which I love.
Below you will find all the items you need to replicate this card.

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

  1. make your 6" card base by trimming a piece of Thicker A4 Whisper White Cardstock to 15 cms x 30 cms. Score the long side at 15 cms. Place to one side to avoid contamination from the sponging.
  2. Trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 12 cm x 12 cm. Randomly stamp the panel using Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink Pad and the smaller stamp from TIMELESS LOVE stamp Set.
  3. Cut your Stampin Sponge into 6 wedges, and take one of these and ink it up with Blackberry Bliss ink, and gently sponge over the top of the stamped panel.
  4. Mat (layer) this panel onto a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock measuring 12.4 cms x 12.4 cms. Wrap around a piece of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon and tie a neat bow to the right hand side of the panel.
  5. Wipe a piece of Whisper White Cardstock with your Embossing Buddy to remove any static from the surface of the card. Stamp the Happy Anniversary onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, along with the Floral Arch (see the photo above), using VERSAMARK ink pad. Dust with White Embossing Powder, and tap off the excess. Heat set the embossed area using your heat tool.
  6. Die cut the sentiment panel using the best fitting Deco Labels Framelits Die. Sponge the panel as before with Blackberry Bliss cardstock. Wipe off any excess ink from the embossed areas using some kitchen towel. The intensity of the ink will cause a little staining of the white embossed areas.
  7. Select the next size up Deco Label Framelit, and die cut a label using Blackberry Bliss Cardstock. Mount the sentiment label on top of the blackberry bliss label using Stampin Dimensionals, then use more stampin dimensionals to adhere the layered label onto the Stamped Panel.
  8. Using Fast Fuse Adhesive, mount the topper onto your card base. Add a few Basic Pearls and the job is done. Hope you enjoy making your own version of this card.
