Versatile Christmas

Another quick card today, as I am still feeling very poorly.

It is so frustrating as my Stampin Up order arrived yesterday, and my head is too wracked with pain, and my hands too shaky for any kind of creative energy to flow

Never mind, tomorrow will be another day

I hope all of you out there following my blog, take heed, and get that Flu Jab done, I wish I had found the time to get mine done.

With that moaning grumble put to one side, I hope you enjoy today's simple stock Christmas Card and as always, feel free to CASE away

Begin by making your card base by trimming a piece of Thicker A4 Whisper White Cardstock to 21 cms x 14.8 cms. Use your Scoring Tool, or the Scoring Blade on your Stampin Trimmer to score the across the middle of the 21 cm side @10.5 cms. Fold along the score line and create a crisp edge using your Bone Folder.
Trim a piece of the dotty paper from the Merry Moments Designer Paper Stack (DSP) to 14.4 cms x 7 cms . Adhere to the top section of your card base using a couple of strips of Fast Fuse Adhesive, and ensure you leave a small border of the white cardstock on the card base showing,
Trim a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock to 14.4 cms x 3.5 cms. Dry emboss the cardstock using the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF), and run through your Big Shot. Adhere the cardstock to the bottom segment of the card blank using Fast Fuse Adhesive, leaving the same white border as before.
Next trim a piece of the fabulous Specialty Paper, Kraft Corrugates Cardstock (also comes with a sheet of White Corrugates Cardstock). and trim a piece to 14.4 cms x 1 cms, and apply a strip of Fast Fuse Adhesive to the back (flat) side of the strip and run it along the overlap where the DSP and the Cardstock meet
Next, stamp the Wishing You sentiment from the Versatile Christmas Stamp Set and stamp it onto a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock using Sift Suede Classic Ink Pad (it gives an appearance of old gold). Punch the sentiment out using the Decorative Label Punch.
Punch out a further two labels from Always Artichoke Cardstock. Cut one label in half along the vertical, and the other in half along the horizontal.
Apply some adhesive to the back of one long edge of your sentiment label. and attach the corresponding long strip of Always Artichoke, leaving a 2 mm border along the edge of the sentiment label. Repeat this process with the other long side. Then repeat the same with the shorter sides. This will leave you with the appearance of a layered label (this can be done with many of the other label punches from Stampin Up).
Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the back of your sentiment label and attach to your card front.
Tie a bow using the Garden Green Striped Ribbon, and use a couple of Glue Dots to attach the bow to your card front.
Finally, remove 5 Gold Sequins from your sequin trim roll. And using the new Fine Tip Glue Pen, place 5 small dots of adhesive randomly around your card front, and pop a sequin on top of each dot of glue. I have found that the glue dries quickly, but do test it before placing your card in something, or placing something on top of the card ....
