Weekly Deals Wednesday & Wood Grain TIEF as a Stamp Set

Yes, It is Wednesday again today, and if you are a Stampin Up! Addict like me, then you will know that today is the day each week when the Weekly Deals Change
And what a bag of Goodies Stampin Up! has given us this week
And even better, is that some of the best products in the current Spring / Summer Seasonal Catalogue are included in this weeks Offerings.

From this week, I am going to try and publish the weekly deals each Wednesday, and use as many of the products in each week within the cards and other products I make, just to show the versatility of the products, and to give you some inspiration on how you can use the items in your own card craft creations.

So to get us going today, I have the card below. This one is showcasing that fabulous double sided Die Cut that is in the Artisan Embellishment Kit. Here I am using he Crumb Cake side, but the reverse side is white, so you can use it as is, or sponge/stamp it to co-ordinate the die cut with your card.

Simply Click on the icons below and it will take you straight to the products in my online store

Table built using Product Table Builder by The Crafty Owl - Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

The techniques I have used here are

Using the Woodgrain TIEF (embossing folder) as a Stamp. I was going with a mint choc chip theme, so I used the 2013-15 In Colours - Pistachio Pudding & Baked Brown Sugar

Simply ink up the inside of the embossing folder that has the Sizzix logo on the front. Place your Very Vanilla cardstock (trimmed to size) inside the embossing folder, carefully close the folder, and use a bone folder to gently rub the outside of the embossing folder. Open the folder carefully &I remove my cardstock using tweezers to avoid smudging,

I stamped the Baked Brown Sugar first, and then the Pear Pizzaz.
I then Dry embossed the cardstock using the same TIEF.

Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse and attach to the front of a Pear Pizzaz Card Blank.
Attach the die cut using Glue Dots, and add a few Basic Pearls in assorted sizes.
Trim a couple of Baked Brown Sugar Banners using the Banner Framelits that I had stamped with the lacey flower stamp in the Petal Potpourri Stamp Set.
Finish by samping your sentiment onto a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock using Baked Brown Sugar classic ink pad.
