Tutorial

1.    Trim a piece of Lost Lagoon Cardstock to 14.8x 10.5 cms
2.  Trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 14.4 x 10.1 cms
3. Using the aged edge stamp from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set & Sahara Sand Classic Ink Pad, Stamp a border around all 4 edges of the cardstock, stamping off the page slightly
4.  Using the flourish stamp and Lost Lagoon Classic Ink Pad, stamp all four corners without re-inking the stamp (1st to 4th generation stamping technique)
5.  Sponge the edges of the cardstock using a wedge of Stampin Sponge and Lost Lagoon Ink. This will intensify the frayed edges appearance
6.  Trim a piece of Pool Party Glitter Ribbon to slightly longer than the width of the cardstock; run a strip of tear & Tape adhesive along one side, and attach to the card front, approximately a third of the way up the cardstock, wrapping the excess ribbon around the back of the card.
7.  Using Tombow Adhesive, attach a Congratulations Expressions Natural Element  above the ribbon.
8.  Finish by typing or writing your Date/Time/Place details onto Whisper White Carstock measuring 14.4 x 10.1 cms & adhere to the back of the invitation

How to Use Stampin' Up!'s New Punches

Many of you may have the older style of Stampin Up Punches. I am one of the lucky ones, as I came on board as a demonstrator after the launch of the new style punches. I love the fact that they are weighty, meaning they leave crisp die cuts time after time. They can be stacked on their flat end, and there is an image on the top of the punch, and again on the visible edge of the punch.

They are so simple to use, as you simply turn the punch upside down, insert the cardstock and you can easily line up your stamped sentiment, flower, or label to give that professional finish to your cards.

This video clip will hopefully answer any questions you have but should you need any advice your can do so via the contact details below ...

Textured Impression Embossing Folders -- Brandi Barnard

I love my Textured Impressions Embossing Folders from Stampin Up.

If I can get a piece of embossing into each project I make, I am a happy bunny! The folders help to add dimension to your cardcraft. You can emboss, de-boss, ink the embossing folder before running it through your Bog Shot or Texture Boutique machine(s). You can create a void in your embossing to keep an area flat where you want to stamp or add a die cut element. And you can add texture to more than cardstock. Leather, chipboard, and white board can all be embossed. If you do not have a big shot or texture boutique maching, then find a rubber mallet of a rolling pin to add the texture to your item.

This Stampin Up! Video will share a little of the above, but use a little imagination, and you can find a way to add texture to your card or scrapbook project.

Remember to place your order via my online shop http://www.stampinupatthewarren.stampinup.net

Introduction to My Digital Studio Laptop sessons

MDS Holiday Ornaments Card
MDS Merry Little Christmas Card
Did you know that you can get one months free trail download of My Digital Studio? Well you can. If you are wondering what role an electronic card and scrapbooking digital programme has in today’s world? Well the answer is lots! I use it for most of my class preparations, none of the digital stamps are retired, and you can resize your stamps, punches etc to the size for your project, which you cannot do with the real thing! If I still haven’t sold it, then book a taster session with us, and download the programme on a free 30 day trial basis just before your leson, and you can bring along your tablet or laptop and play with me in real time … I am even considering running ‘virtual’ MDS workshops in the new year so you do not have to come to me, but we communicate via the internet instead! You can read more about MDS at the My Digital Studio Website

memory keeper & memory Maker

scrapin classes

These classes are very close to our hearts. They are aimed at helping to create or keep memories through scrapbooking when life gets tough. The Memory Maker classes are aimed at individuals living with life limiting conditions to make memories, creating a lasting legacy for their family and friends, and for themselves when the going gets extra tough.

Memory Keeper scrapbookin classes are aimed at the bereaved, allowing individuals to keep the memories of their loved ones alive through scrapbooks. It is a therapeutic, if emotional way, of documenting the life of their loved one. Our quiet semi-rural surroundings allow you to work at your own pace, and if needed, take time out, in a supportive environment. These sessions are run on an ad hoc basis to try and fit in around treatments, appointments, lethargy, etc. We are happy to work with small family/friend groups (up to 6 people), or on a one to one basis. £10 per session. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please talk to us to see if we can subsidise your sessions.

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-xx

and on to 2014 ….

From January 2014, we are offering 5 x 4 hour cardcraft/scrapbooking sessions weekly. Additional sessions can be arranged on an ad hoc basis.
We can also run Kids Classes on:

  • ·         Card making
  • ·         Scrapbooking
  • ·         Gift boxes
We also enjoy supporting teenagers studying textiles options at secondary school
