Welcome to Day Four of this weeks Stamp Set Showcase
An Open Heart
And today tou have a little 3D hanging Christmas Decoration using the Stars Framelits
Begin by die cutting two of the largest start framelit from Soft Suede cardsock
Then the next size down Star framelit , die cut the star from Red Glimmer Paper
Then the next size down from Soft Suede cardstock, and finally, the next smallest start framelit from red glimmer paper.
Take all the Soft Suede stars and randomly stamp them on one side only using the leaf stamp from the Open Heart stamp set.
Stamp the bird from the same stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Soft Suede cardstock and cut it out by hand using your paper snips. Add a Basic Rhinestone to the birds eye.
Now trim a piece of soft suede cardstock to 41cms x 6cms (you will need to join two pieces of cardstock to get the 40cm length)
Get your scoring tool and Metric Plate out
With the long side at the top of the metric board, score at:
4cms; 8cms; 12cms; 16cms; 20cms; 24cms; 28cms; 32cms; 36cms & 40cms
Rotate by 90 degrees and score at 1cm & 5cms
Fold and score each each score line with your bone folder
Snip out a triangle shape where each vertical score line meets the long vertical score lines (you need to do either side of the cardstock)
Apply Stocky Strip to all the tabs (be sure to apply all the tape on the same side of the cardstock)
Working on one tab at a time, attach each tab to it's corresponding point of the star,
Use your Paper Piercing tool to make a hole omn the top point of the star. Feed through some Real Red 1/8" taffeta ribbon & tie a knot to hold the ribbon in place.
Once you have done this, you need to repeat the process of sticking the tabs to the to stock the back to the star.
layer up the stars on the front of the star box, alternating between Soft Suede and Red Glimmer Paper
Attach the bird to one of the layered stars using Glue dots
And you have made a fab tree hanging that you could pop a treat inside before sticking down the back of the star,
