Today I have another
Oh My Goodies Gift Box for you.
This is another box template from Pootles.co.uk, a long fold flat gift box.
It's a nice size for chocolates or sweeties
Or could be used for Wedding Favours etc
I have made this one in neutral colours as I thought it would be good for men if you omitted the little pieces of Tea Lace Doilies
What is really fab about this box is that it needs just one piece of Sticky Strip to put the box together and a little Tombow MP Glue for the Designer Series Papers (DSP). They will fold flat, including any embellishments, until it is time to send that beautifully and personally made gift box.
Begin by trimming a piece of Basic Black cardstock to 21 x 19cms
Get out your Scoring Tool with the Metric Plate, and score the long side at:
2, 7, 22 & 27cms
Rotate the cardstock by 90 degrees and score the short side at 5, 10, 15, & 20cms
Also trim two pieces of Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (DSP) to 22 c 5cms
Then Score at 5, 10, 15, & 20cms
Now you need to look at the photo below to construct the box.
Start by folding and burnishing all score lines, then trim the cardstock so it looks like the photo below.
The two tabs you can see will be the flaps at each end of the box. Do not be tempted to round off the ends of the flaps, or cut any bits away from these tabs or your flaps will not stay put inside the box once it is put together.
Add some Sticky Strip to the long 1cm flap at the top of the box, and fold over the box to stick the pieces together,
Wrap the DSP around the box where you want it, making creases at each edge and secure with a little Tombow MP Glue.
wrap a piece of 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the center of the box and secure with Sticky Strip.
Stamp your sentiment using Black Stazon ink onto Whisper White cardstock (stamp two).
Use the extra large oval punch to punch out the center oval from one label and add Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of the oval. Stick this oval on top of the second stamped label.
Use a little Tombow MP Glue to the concertina folded Tea Lace Doily and stick to the back of the sentiment label. (I used a 1/4 of a tea lace doily for this)
Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse of the layered label and Stick the Tag Topper to the box.
