Stamp Set Showcase Week 6 (2)

Morning all
Today we are going with the new In Colours. When I first saw them I thought them a little too intense for me. But as is the way of things .... familiarity grows either contempt or acceptance.
I have more than met acceptance with the new 2014-15 In Colours - I am totally smitten. That doesn't mean I find it easy to use these intense colours given my preference for the subtles and the Brights collections, but it is good to try new things and stretch oneself beyond the comfortable.
At least that is my way of thinking. IF we are not experiencing something new and different on a regular basis, life can get a little too predictable and a little too comfortable. Now there is nothing wrong with this at all .... but I am one of those many people who get bored easily ... so I have to go outside the box every once in a while to get my mojo back.

Anyway todays Yippee Skippee card make is combining
YIPPEE SKIPPEE with TAPE IT stamp set.

And it is bold and bright and in your face but I rather like it
so with no further ado .... here it is ...

You will need a C6 (A6) white card blank
Trim a piece of Hello Honey cardstock to 14.3cms x 10cms
Next trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 13.8cms x 9.5cms

Now for some messy play!! Get out your TAPE it stamp set and mount them onto your acrylic blocks (unless your stamp set is wood mounted) and randomly stamp the different stamps on the trimmed Whisper White cardstock, and alternate the inks too. Stamp over some of the stamps too to give a layered effect. Don't try to be too organised about this, you want it to be truly random, so let go with abandon - and the colours to use are:

Hello Honey
Mossy Meadow
Lost Lagoon
Tangello Twist &
Lost Lagoon.
Blackberry Bliss

Mount this panel onto the Hello Honey cardstock you trimmed earlier.

Now for the finishing touches
Get out your Big Shot and the Banner Framelits Collection
Stamp your Sentiment from the Yippee Skippee stamp set in Blackberry Bliss
Die Cut the corresponding Banner framelit
Then die cut a banner in Blackberry Bliss cardstock in the size up from the sentiment so you can layer up.
Lastly, get out your Blendabilities Alcohol pens and colour some Basic Rhinestones to give a co-ordinated finish to the card.

Happy Stamping
