Stamp Set Showcase Week 7 (7)

Hello Friday

i hope with these Postings, some of you are coming to realise that there is more to stamping than using a stamp set once or twice and then running out of ideas.
That it is OK to play around and make even Sentiment Stamps into a background /decorative paper
And to think outside the box to help you get creative with your crafting goodies

Today brings the end of another weeks Stamp Set Showcase, and today is a Dry Embossing Day using The Alphabet Press Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF) along with the Chalk Talk Stamp Set and co-ordinating Die.

Just a quick reminder ... you only have 2 days left to make the most of Stampin Up's August Promotion .... Order a Big Shot bundle and you may be lucky to qualify for a free stamp set ... what could be better than that. Click on the Big Shot Flyer at the bottom of this posting to find out more information.

Anyway, back to the order of the day ... my latest card make

Begin by making your card blank by trimming a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 14.8cms x 21cms
Score the long side at 10.5cms, fold and burnish with a bone folder

Trim a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock to 13.8cms x 10cms
Trim another piece of Whisper White cardstock to 13.3cms x 9.5cms
Take this piece of Whisper White cardstock and place it in the TIEF (have the Sizzix Logo face up) and run it through your Big Shit on Tab 2 or through your Texture Boutique. Remove from the folder.
Now comes the messy play he he
You will need your Stampin Sponges (I cut mine into 8 segments to help them go further)
You will need the following ink pads:
Pear Pizzaz
So Saffron
Wisteria Wonder
Soft Sky
Randomly blend the inks using gentle circular motion until you are happy with the effect. If your cardstock starts getting a damp from the inks, just let it dry for 5 minutes and the colours will brighten and you will reduce the risk of bobbling the cardstock, which isn't very pretty.

Wrap a piece of Wisteria Wonder Chevron Ribbon around the centre of the dry embossed cardstock.
Layer this panel onto the trimmed Wisteria Wonder cardstock.
Now for the Chalk Talk part of the project
Elegant Eggplant ink, stamp the Happy Big Day onto Whisper White Cardstock.
Next, Stamp the decorative label in the Chalk Talk stamp set in Elegant Eggplant ink onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock.
Die cut both of these using your Big Shot
Apply stampin dimensionals to the back of both labels and then layer them up and adhere to the card blank

I bet you was expecting something so much more complicated weren't you?
Instead, it was a fairly quick and straight forward card to make. That is the real boost with Die Cutting and Dry Embossing!
Happy Stamping
