Stamp Set Showcase Week 6 (7)

And here we are at another Friday ... can you believe that I have been able to keep up with my daily blog posts since I began the Catalogue Countdown posts a few months ago. I seem to have gotten in my stride now and enjoy making my projects over a 2 day period each week. My Time, My Space and God help anyone that invades on my precious ME time!!

What is it like for you guys? Do you struggle to get your crafting / down time too?
Do let me know or I will think it is just me he he

Anyway, todays Friday make is a new baby card combining the
YIPPEE SKIPPEE stamp set
with
 ZOO BABIES

This is an easy card for novices to do as you can stamp the background yourself making each card unique.

You will need a 15cms x 15cms White card blank (6" x 6")

Begin by trimming a piece of  Night of navy cardstock to 13cms x 13cms
Trim a piece of Soft Sky cardstock to 12.5cms x 12.5cms
Trim a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 12cms x 12cms

Get your Blushing Bride and Soft Sky Classic Ink Pads plus the piece of trimmed Whisper White cardstock. Ink the Elephant stamp with the pink ink, and the baby rhino stamp with blue ink.
Create a background by alternating the rhino and elephant stamp in rows - and alternate the stamp you start with at the begining of each row. Mount this onto the Soft Sky cardstock you trimmed earlier.

Add some Soft Sky Seam Binding Ribbon and tie a bow. Mount this onto the Soft Sky cardstock, then mount that onto the Night of Navy cardstock.

Next you want a scrap of Perfect Plum cardstock and get your Big Shot and die cut the smaller Film Strip die.
Stamp the Elephant in Marina Mist ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and run through the big shot using the same film strip die. This will ensure your elephant sits snuggly inside the film strip.

Adhere the plum filmstrip onto the card at an angle, using Tombow MP Glue,
Ink the edges of the elephant rectangle and put Stampin Dimensionals on the reverse side and stick this over the plum film strip.

Now stamp the Yippee Skippee sentiment onto Whitsper White cardstock and die cut using the Modern Label Punch.
Punch 2 additional Modern Labels from Wisteria Wonder cardstock to create a layered label.

Take the first of the Wisteria Wonder labels and cut in half along the vertical midline
Repeat with the second Wisteria Wonder label, but this time cut it in half on the horizontal midline.

Finally, using Tombow MP Glue to stick the matching label pieces behind the sentiment stamp.
Add some Whisteria Wonder Candy Dots & a small basic rhinestone for the elephants eye.
Mount the layered card onto the card blank and you are done!

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks showcase projects

Happy Stamping
