Stamp Set Showcase Week 20 (1) Lovely As A Tree

After watching all the leaves fall from our many trees as I watched out of my workshop window, I found myself feeling very autumnal and so we have a couple of days projects with an autumnal feel this week, and the rest, of course, will be more in keeping with the Festive Season.

Todays card is using a homemade ink pad using Baby Wipes and re-inkers to create the different colours on the trees.

I have chosen 2 stamp sets for this week. The Main One is

LOVELY AS A TREE

coupled with a Hostess Sentiment Stamp Set

GOOD GREETINGS

You need an A6 card blank (Whisper White)
Then trim a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 13.8cms x 9.5 cms

You need to begin by using a selection of green and autumnal inkers.
I made my 'ink pad' using the old style wood mount boxes as they have a lid to keep the baby wipes moist,

Fold a couple of baby wipes to the same size as the container (or plastic Bag) you are using, and drip drops of green and autumnal coloured reinkers onto the baby wipe. I used a combination of;

Wild Wasabi, Pear Pizzaz, So Saffron and Calypso Coral. I used approximately 3 or 4 drops in clusters, but allowing the inks to bleed into one another two. To help with this you meed to mist some water onto the baby wipe and inks without saturating it. Give it a minute for the inks to merge, as you will need ink over the entire wipes surface on the flat base ( if you wipe goes up the sides of the container, you do not need to add ink to this area).

Now you can stamp as usual. You will need to give the ink time to dry as the ink is a little wetter than usual.
Once dry, you can sponge the sky with 'Soft Sky ink' and the tree line with Pear Pizzazz.

Wrap around a piece of Wild Wasabi Seam Binding Ribbon, and die a pretty row (I know, mine is Taffeta trim, but I am using up my retired accessories he he)

Mat (Layer) the stamped panel onto a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock measuring 24.3 cms x 20cms using a little Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

Finish by making your sentiment Label. Stamp the sentiment of choice in Wild Wasabi ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Die cut using the Modern Label Punch.
Punch two more Modern Labels, but this time from Wild Wasabi Cardstock. You are going to use these to create a layered label.
Cut one label in half on the Vertical, and Cut the other label in half on the horizontal.
Adhere the corresponding pieces to the sentiment tag using a tiny amount of Tombow glue. Apply Stampin Dimensionals to the reverse and mount on your stamped card.
Mount the topper onto your card blank.

Happy Stamping
